Bowl Full of Gratitude

A couple of years ago, my daughter painted this Buddha bowl for me for my Birthday. I love it!

When we sit down to eat together as a family, we each take a minute to write down something that we are thankful for. Then we place what we are thankful for in our Buddha bowl and read them later.

We leave our Gratitudes with no names, all anonymous.

At the end of dinner or during another dinner, we pass the “thankful bowl” around and each person takes a piece of paper out of the bowl. Everyone goes around the table and reads the gratitude they pulled from the bowl.

Its amazing to learn what everyone is thankful for! The warmth and love in the room after everyone reads is so unforgettable.

I have posted some of our gratitudes below.

Buddhaful Notes

We are what we think.
All that we are arises with our thoughts.
With our thoughts, we make our world.
