Makar Sankranti, is a Hindu festival celebrated every year on the 14th of January. It marks the transition of the sun from ‘Dhanu Rashi’ (Sagittarius) to ‘Makar Rashi’ (Capricorn). As an Embodied Jyotish Astrologer, I have always been fascinated by the cosmic alignment during the festival of Makar Sankranti. Being here in Peechi, Kerala we celebrated Pongal and there was lots of sweets and loud music!
