Full Moon in Scorpio ~ June 11, 2025 at 1:43 AM MST

Jyestha Nakshatra | Antares | The Heart of the Scorpion

This full moon rises in the deeply transformative sign of Scorpio, in the lunar mansion of Jyestha—the eldest of the 27 sisters. Jyestha is the powerful matriarch, the guardian of wisdom and respect. She rises up in the face of dishonor and reminds us to protect what is sacred, to guard our inner boundaries, and to remember our inherent dignity. This nakshatra is associated with the golden gate—a threshold between endings and liberation.

This full moon is conjunct Antares, the heart of the Scorpion—a star known as the rival of Mars. Antares is intense, emotional, and alchemical. Its energy can help us confront the parts of ourselves that feel hidden, wounded, or numb. At the same time, Mars has just entered Leo after a long period of debilitation. This marks a shift. We are emerging from inner stagnation. The fire is returning. But this fire might feel unfamiliar at first, even uncomfortable. Places where we felt apathetic may suddenly come alive. We may be stirred into action, especially in the areas where we’ve been avoiding conflict or difficult truths. We are waking up.

Jyestha teaches us to rise with maturity and self-respect. She calls us to address abuses of power—both within ourselves and in the outer world. On a collective level, this moon calls attention to the misuse of authority, especially in places where human rights are being eroded or redefined. As government power intensifies in new and unprecedented ways, we are each being asked to stand in our own truth and protect the boundaries of our communities and our country. This is not a time to look away. It is a time to get involved, to participate in the defense of dignity and truth.

This full moon also activates Kala Amrita Yoga, a rare alignment that creates pressure to address our karmic imprints. It can bring challenges, but also the medicine needed for transformation. This is an opportunity to examine our own inner poisons—resentment, fear, avoidance, shame—and meet them with clarity and compassion. Instead of fearing discomfort or mistakes, this moon helps us recognize that the belief that “something is wrong with life” is a misunderstanding of the mind. In truth, these moments of friction are what make liberation possible.

Mercury has entered Gemini, ushering in a time of learning, communication, and quick-moving information. With Jupiter shining its light of dharma, and Mercury operating in its home sign, this is an ideal time for meaningful dialogue, curiosity, and mental clarity. With AI and technology evolving rapidly, our minds are being stretched in new ways. Yet the invitation remains to root ourselves in wisdom, not just information.

This full moon aligns with the asteroid Shiva, and Scorpio is ruled by the hidden realms. As we illuminate the unconscious mind, we discover the gold within. Scorpio asks us to go deep—not to dwell in the darkness, but to find what’s hidden beneath it. Shiva helps lift the veil of illusion. He allows us to witness the thoughts that argue with reality and create suffering. These are not enemies, but parts of us asking to be seen, understood, and loved. When Jupiter’s expansive grace meets Scorpio’s underworld, we are given the chance to find the teacher in the shadow.

Saturn and Neptune continue their slow conjunction in Pisces, a sign of spiritual depth and dissolution. Saturn tries to create structure, while Neptune dissolves it. Together, they ask us to examine our relationship with reality. What we perceive as real may not be. We are invited to loosen our grip on certainty. What is true in one frame may shift in another. This can create fear or confusion—but it also invites spiritual awakening. It’s a time of surrendering illusion and seeing the dream for what it is.

This moon is not soft. It is not gentle. But it is profoundly sacred.

It calls you inward. It asks you to feel the truth of your own knowing. It challenges you to let go of the stories that keep you small, and to meet yourself with reverence. Through this, you rise. Through this, you remember.

Love,
Michelle
