The Power of Bija Mantras: Unlocking the Alphabet of Great Nature

Every morning I set and do pretty much the same yoga practice every day. Lately, I have been exploring adding more mantras and I have been playing with Baja Mantras. Today, I had an enlightening experience with Bija mantras. It was as if I had discovered the alphabet of Great Nature – a way to tap into the divine beyond the physical world. With each chant, I felt myself connecting to the energy that surrounds us. I want to share this experience with you, as it has brought a sense of calm and clarity into my life.

The chanting of Bija mantras, which are considered the seed sounds of the universe, has been used in Hinduism and Buddhist traditions for centuries. These mantras are said to be powerful tools that can unlock hidden energies and awaken a deeper connection with the universe. They are associated with the chakras, or energy centers, in the body and represent different aspects of the divine.

When I first started chanting Bija mantras, I found myself distracted by the sound between the sound – the soundless sound that we talked about in class today. However, as I continued to chant, I noticed that the craving for that sound began to fade away. I was simply content, fully present in the moment. This is the power of Bija mantras – they allow us to let go of our distractions and connect with the divine.

It’s important to remember that true knowledge comes from an inspired state. We cannot force ourselves to connect to the divine through chanting or any other practice. Instead, we must surrender ourselves to the energy that surrounds us. By doing so, we become channels for Great Nature to speak through us. It’s like the flower that cannot bloom without the bush or tree – we are simply vessels for the divine to express itself.

As I continue to chant Bija mantras, I am discovering a new level of knowledge and understanding. It’s not a static expression of knowledge, but a dynamic awakening. I am constantly discovering new depths of knowledge as I connect with the divine through these mantras. And just like the wave that is not separate from the ocean, my fullness comes from the fullness around me.

The chanting of Bija mantras has been a transformative experience for me. It has allowed me to let go of my distractions and connect with the divine energy around us. I encourage you to try chanting Bija mantras yourself and see how you feel. Surrender yourself to the divine and let it flow through you. You may be surprised at the wisdom and knowledge that comes to you as a result.
